At the post-secondary level, Janine provided individual counselling to university students dealing with an array of mental health difficulties. She completed her clinical placement at York University’s counselling centre, where she worked with students from many cultural backgrounds. Currently, Janine works with individuals struggling with a range of issues including complaints arising from chronic pain, depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem and addictions. She also continues to work with students, providing anxiety management and ADHD coaching to students struggling with school related anxiety, disorganization and time management difficulties.
Janine’s therapeutic background includes training in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Existential and Interpersonal Techniques, Emotion-Focused Therapy and Buddhist Psychology. Janine’s approach helps people to find their strengths, lets go of the past and focus on living healthier lives.
